These “Rules” are based on the “Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals” developed by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (www.ICMJE.org, updated in 2025).

Important Information

Manuscripts that do not comply with these rules will not be accepted by the Editorial Board. Please carefully review all requirements before submitting your article.

Manuscript Preparation

1.1 General Formatting Requirements

Text Formatting

The manuscript must be submitted in Russian or English and prepared in MS Word:

  • Font: Times New Roman, size 14
  • Line spacing: 1.5
  • Margins: top – 2.0 cm; bottom – 2.0 cm; left – 2.0 cm; right – 2.0 cm
  • Pagination: All pages, starting from the title page, must be consecutively numbered

1.2 Article Length

Length Requirements
  • Full original article: 8–12 pages, including all sections except references
  • Review article: 12–15 pages
  • Clinical case reports: no more than 8 pages

1.3 Manuscript Structure

Structural Elements

The manuscript must include the following elements:

  1. Title page with complete information about the authors and the article
  2. Abstract in Russian, English, and Tajik with keywords
  3. Main text including:
    • Introduction (background)
    • Aim of the study
    • Materials and Methods
    • Results
    • Discussion
    • Conclusion
  4. References formatted according to the Vancouver style
  5. Tables and figures (if applicable)

Title Page

Mandatory Elements of the Title Page
  • Full title of the article in the submission language, English, and Tajik
  • UDC (Universal Decimal Classification)
  • Initials and surnames of all authors
  • Official names of institutions and their location (city, country)
  • Short running title (no more than 50 characters)
  • Keywords
  • Word count of the main text and abstract separately

2.1 Author Information

Author Details

The following information must be provided for each author:

  • Full name
  • Academic degrees and titles
  • Position and affiliation (institution and department)
  • Postal code and full address
  • Contact phone numbers
  • Email address
Mandatory identifiers:
  • ORCID ID (required)
  • ResearcherID
  • Scopus Author ID

2.2 Funding and Conflict of Interest

Declarations
  • Sources of funding: grants, equipment, medications
  • Declaration of conflicts of interest (financial and non-financial)
  • Use of AI technologies (if applicable)
